Adding music

See the video tutorial here

With Movie Maker open, you need the Movie Tasks menu open.

Click on the down arrow next to
1. Capture Video

Click on Import Audio or Music

The Import File explorer window will open up and you need to navigate to the music file you wish to import.

Click on the file to select it and then Click on Import

Movie Maker will add the music file to your collection folder.

You can now drag this file down to the Audio/Music track on the timeline. You will notice a blue bar appear on this track. When you let go of the mouse button the start of the music will be inserted at the point of the blue bar.

If it's not in the right position, then you can just move the cursor over the movie file, where it will become a hand symbol and then drag the music file along the timeline to the point you do want it.

See Editing music and audio for more information on editing the music and video audio files we have now got on the timeline.
